Peruvian painter Mayra Sarmiento stands out in the North American artistic circuit

Mayra Sarmiento He emigrated to the United States to pursue his passion for painting and design. He began experimenting with various materials that would allow him to emanate the creativity that he had within him, with which he has achieved collections of paintings with his own stamp that are currently walking through various galleries and festivals in the United States; all from the self taught shore. The young Peruvian artist Mayra Sarmiento has been considered in the interest of curators in Los Angeles, USA.

Creation Spaces

Maya, as a signature in her works, graduated as an interior designer in our country. Interested in window dressing and without specialization alternatives, she made the decision to emigrate to study at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). “The decoration, the details, the organization and transformation were what made me fall in love with interior design,” she says.

Passionate about painting, she left her internship at an important North American company to enter between canvases.

“I went through many tutorials on YouTube, although I had a little notion of painting technique, I had no idea what would suit me best. I communicated directly with quite experienced artists. Social media was key to this,” she narrates. Between more tutorials and guidance from her mentors, Maya was able to establish her personal style with the gold leaf technique in her intention to achieve details. The young painter is showing her art in well-known North American exhibitions and festivals that have opened their doors to her after two years of intense work. Thus, she is currently exhibiting at the prestigious Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair and the Beverly Hills Art Show, both of which are very important and seek to promote new generations of artists.
