Erysipelas is a type of bacterial skin infectionwhich usually causes fever and pain.

The former president (2019-2022) arrived in Manaus on Fridaywhere he participated in a campaign event for federal deputy Alberto Neto’s pre-candidacy for mayor of Manaus, capital of Amazonas.

Bolsonaro “was admitted to Santa Júlia Hospital yesterday (Saturday) morning with symptoms of dehydration and an infectious process on the skin,” the medical center said this Sunday in a statement.

“He returned to the hospital after his appointmentswhere he remains hospitalized for intravenous antibiotic therapy and hydration” he added.
