K-pop singer Lee Ji-han died during crowd movement in Seoul

South Korea is in mourning after one of the most tragic incidents in recent years. More than 150 people died in an unprecedented stampede. This tragedy plunged the country into a period of mourning which should last all week. Among the victims, actor and singer Lee Ji-han lost his life.

His name is unfamiliar to the general public, but in his country he was a rising star. The young man of 24 years had made himself known with Produce 101a show that tried to find the best singers in the country to join a K-Pop group.

He had just finished shooting the scenes for his first series, Season of Kkokdu.

Faced with the violence of the drama and the number of Koreans affected directly or indirectly by the drama, the entertainment industry has decided to upset its entire schedule for the coming weeks.

The Moving the World with Music festival, supposed to take place next Friday and Saturday, will be postponed, as Big Hit Music decided to do the same with BTS star Jin’s first solo single, titled The Astronaut.

YG Entertainment, which represents Blackpink, will not promote the group or its other artists.
