The Freestyle Master Series Peru returns to Trujillo for its ninth day

The rise of numerous competitions of freestyle rap carried out in Spanish-speaking countries in the 2010s, promoted the creation of the Freestyle Master Seriesa league with a classification system for rappers, in an attempt to professionalize and seek artistic and sporting recognition of this discipline called freestyle rap.

Commonly known as FMS, it is a league created by Urban Roosters that pits twelve freestylers from the same country against each other. In one year, the rappers face each of their opponents in a battle, in which points will be voted based on the results of the match, taking into account flow, skills, staging, punchline, and many other details. At the end of the season, the freestyler with the highest score is crowned champion, while those with the lowest scores are demoted and replaced by others.

For this reason, this Saturday, November 12, Trujillo will be the spectator of duels in which the freestylers will play it all or nothing in front of the northern public on the ninth day.

How are the positions found?

The freestyler Nekroos, current leader in the table; confronts his escort, Stick; in a battle that could define the champion of FMS Peru. If Nekroos wins, he will get his ninth victory in a row, rising up the table and leaving Stick with almost no chance to fight for the championship title.

At the bottom of the table things are also spicy. The rapper Strike needs to add points yes or yes this day, otherwise his relegation from the league will materialize.

Likewise, fans are waiting for the mystery of the famous Jaze, who said he had ‘retired’ from the league, but would send a replacement for the last days. Will the defending champion be present? Who will be this replacement?

Finally, it is necessary to emphasize that two locals play valuable points in their Trujillo land. The rapper Jota is in the Play-Off zone and has to win to get out of there; while his Ghost’s competition is growing and a direct victory against his rival allows him to get out of the dangerous relegation zone and fight for permanence in the last days.
