Carlos Vives surprised by launching his new song “Knocking down walls”

The Colombian Carlos Vives published this Friday the single “Tumbando walls”, the first original song published from the series “El club de los Graves” and which will be released on November 30 on the Disney + platform, with the singer-songwriter as the protagonist.

The pop-rock theme, composed by Vives and whose video was recorded in Miami (USA), is a preview of the series’ soundtrack, which follows in the footsteps of the eccentric music teacher Amaranto Molina (Vives) and a group of students from a high school specializing in music education, according to a statement from the artist’s representative office in the US.

Thus, “Knocking down walls” is the first single from the original soundtrack of the series, a record production that will contain songs composed by the renowned Colombian artistwith the collaboration of Andrés Leal and Martín Vililla, and which will be available on digital platforms on a date to be determined.

The disc will combine “pop sounds with traditional rhythms from different regions of Colombia”, according to the press release.

In the series “The club of the serious ones”, produced by TeleColombia for Disney +, Amaranto Molina is the new music teacher in a school and where he is in charge of “The serious ones”, made up of students who have not managed to integrate the group of “The acute ones”, in which there are those who have the skills to achieve commercial success in music.

“With his disruptive methods, the eccentric professor will take charge of ‘Los Graves’, embarking with them on a transformative musical journey that will help him heal wounds and inspire each of the young people to express their unique talent, finding together a hopeful common course”says the statement.

The singer of “La Gout Fría” and “Robarte un Beso” culminated his successful tour “Después de Todo Vives” last month and premiered the video for “Looking for the Horse”, a song in which he pays tribute to the master of Dominican merengue Johnny Venture.
