“There was a blackout at the migrant detention center in Harmondsworthnear the airport Heathrow. The problem is being resolved. We are aware of the disturbances in the place and the affected authorities have been warned and are there”indicated the ministry.

The detainees left their rooms and went to the patio in possession of various weapons, according to several local media outlets, which state that no detainee left the premises and that no one was injured.

This incident comes after a difficult week for the government, under pressure for its handling of the influx of migrants, with the revelations about the reception center of Manstonovercrowded with more than 4,000 people arrested when it only seats 1,600.

Added to this is the launching of incendiary devices at another migrant processing center near Dover, an incident caused by a man who was found dead shortly afterwards.

The situation is complicated for the Conservatives in power, who promised that the Brexit would allow better border control.

The Minister of the Interior, Suella Braverman, sparked controversy when, earlier in the week, he described invasionthe arrival of migrants to United Kingdom in small boats.

Nearly 40,000 people have crossed the English Channel from the beginning of the year to reach United Kingdoma record, including 12,000 Albaniansaccording to a recently released figure.
