Jack White will be in the cast of “Killers of the Flower Moon”, the next Martin Scorsese

Jack White will star in Killers of the Flower Moon, the next film by Martin Scorsese. A revelation made by Randall Poster, music supervisor and regular collaborator of the filmmaker while he was a guest on the podcast The Moment hosted by screenwriter Brian Koppelman.

But that’s not all, since Jack White will not be the only musician to have a role in this film which will also count Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jesse Plemons within its cast. Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson, two singers and guitarists well known to country fans across the Atlantic, will also be part of the party.

And beware, they won’t be there to appear in a musical sequence, but rather to embody the characters of the plot.

A dark story

“Jason Isbell, Jack White, Sturgill Simpson… There are like four musicians in the movie who don’t play music,” said assured Randall Poster.

Finally, Killers of the Flower Moon is an adaptation of the eponymous book by David Grann published in 2017. A historical investigation in which the journalist and writer returns to the series of murders which had affected the Native American tribe of the Osages, settled in Oklahoma, after the discovery of oil on their land in the 1920s.
