His idol was Daddy Yankee

Since he was little, Benito Martínez listened to reggaeton and had his compatriot Tego Calderón as a reference, since he was the only artist that his family allowed him to listen to. However, who actually became his favorite artist was “king of reggaeton” Daddy Yankee. He was inspired to start writing and recording his first songs independently.

An additional piece of information is that, before even knowing that he would dedicate his life to reggaeton, Bad Bunny was part of his neighborhood church choir from the age of 5 to 13. She became popular among the local children because all day long she performed songs, either in the streets or from the balcony of her house.
