Hombres G will celebrate its 40th anniversary with two concerts in Peru in June 2023

One of the great legends of rock in our language returns to the country to commemorate his 40-year career full of unforgettable hits, men g will come to Lima to offer two concerts in June 2023.

The first show will be on Friday, June 9 at La Pelousse at the Jockey Club, while the second will be on June 10 at the Jardín de la Cerveza, in Arequipa.

David Summers, Dani Mezquita Hardy, Rafa Gutiérrez Muñoz and Javier Molina return to Peru as part of their world tour to celebrate four decades of rock, the band that was formed from the illusion and longing of four children from Madrid in the eighties and which became a phenomenon thanks to albums such as “Hombres G” (1985), “You screwed up… Burt Lancaster” (1986) or “We are crazy… or what?” (1987).

With songs known worldwide such as “Marta has a Pacemaker”, “The Attack of the Crocodile Girls”, “Venezia”, ​​”Temblando”, “Give me back my Girl” or “Visite Nuestro Bar” the band established itself for several weeks in what top of the radio preference rankings of the time.

The story of the band that began by chance from a meeting in the corridors of Televisión Española between David and Javier where they attended to act as extras in a children’s program, from there a friendship was formed and generated the interest of both to do music, after going through the Lollipop label where they recorded a four-song EP, it is then in 1985 where they sign for Producciones Twins recording what would be their first studio album “Hombres G”, releasing “Give me back my girl” as a single.

In mid-1986, “Hombres G” was released in Peru; country that was the first to open its market to the band and that was also the first place they visited on a promotional tour outside of Spain, in 1987 on that occasion they made an extensive tour of cities such as Piura, Chiclayo and Trujillo, in addition to two presentations at the National Stadium in Lima, the “HombresGmania” had taken over Peru.

This 2023, Hombres G celebrates 40 years of experience and celebrates it with an unmissable show where they will review their extensive catalog of hits, songs that became the soundtrack of several generations.
