Shakira is accused of plagiarism after the premiere of her song with Bizarrap

Less than 24 hours after its release, BZRP Music Sessions #53, which unites Shakira and Bizarrap has lived through it all. It has been placed at the top of musical trends, has achieved millions of visits on all digital platforms and has been accused of alleged plagiarism by a young artist who points out that the Colombian would have been “inspired” by one of her songs.

The Venezuelan tiktoker and singer Briella, known on social networks as BriellaMusic, turned to her digital platforms to comment on the matter and point out that the collaboration of Shakira and Bizarrap would be inspired by her song “Solo tú”.

Through a video, Briella asked her fans if they found any similarities between her song “Solo tú”, published in June 2022, with BZRP Music Sessions #53.

“I am in shock. I’m shaking, I don’t know what to do. I have the message tray collapsed. The song is too similar, it’s not my thingI love Shakira, I idolize her. I’ve been a lifelong fan and it’s even an honor that he plagiarized me… But I don’t know what to do, it’s very similar”, assured the young artist through a video posted on her Instagram stories.

Likewise, Briella assured that her message does not seek to discredit Shakira; however, she wants her credits to be included in the song if her theme served as inspiration for this new musical bet.

“I work every day to be an artist, to be a songwriter and to be a singer. She was and is a huge inspiration… Really, if my song was used as a sample or inspiration in any way, I’d like to at least get credit. It’s worth too much to me. If they had asked me ‘look, we want a little part of your song for Shakira’, I would have told them of course”, manifested.

As is known, the lyrics of Shakira’s new song could be dedicated to Gerard Piqué and his current partner Clara Chía. Throughout the song, signs and references to the soccer player and his new romance are shown.

It should be noted that the popularity of Bizarrap is not something recent, since it has previously been in charge of hits such as “Bombona” (with Tiago PZK), “Quédate” (with Quevedo) or Sessions #49, the popular shootout of Residente against J Balvin .
