RBD returns: Why won’t ‘Poncho’ Herrera be on the 2023 reunion tour?

RBD is back! Through their social networks, five of the members of the remembered Mexican band announced that this Thursday, January 19, they will make an announcement of a reunion and a world tour to the joy of their fans.

Anahí, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez and Christopher Uckermann shared through their social networks a mysterious video with a common date: January 19, 2023, which would be the day they announce their reunion and a tour of various countries of Latinamerica.

WHY WILL ALFONSO HERRERA NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE RBD REUNION?

Alfonso Herrera has participated in several past reunions of the band, but never on stage since the last concert that RBD gave. In 2020, due to the pandemic, a virtual concert was held in which only Anahí, Maite, Christian and Christopher participated. Despite the fact that he dedicated a few words to his companions, ‘Poncho’ decided not to participate in the reunion.

“Very good, I already had some other projects like a series and a movie”, Alfonso Herrera said, after the show, to the program ‘Hoy’ in Mexico.

Alfonso Herrera would have decided not to resume any musical project or participate in the RBD reunion because, in his words, this is already a closed stage and he prefers to dedicate his time to his facet as an actor. In recent years he has starred in films such as The Perfect Dictatorship, The Dance of the 41s and ¡Qué viva México!

After the last reunion of the “rebels” in Mexico City, where the start of the RBD reunion tour would have been finally decided and confirmed, Alfonso Herrera was again the great absentee.
