One of the great novelties of the 62nd edition of the festival of Viña del Mar (February 19 and 24, 2023) is the presentation of the Peruvian singer-songwriter Milena Warthonchosen to participate in the folkloric competition interpreting the theme “Warmisitay”.

Milena’s debut was on Monday, February 20. Hours before, the singer shared through her social networks the preview of her presentation.

Once on stage, Milena Warthon obtained 6.2 from the virtual jury, and the following present at the event: Pólima Westcoast (6), Eduardo Fuentes (6), Nicki Nicole (6), José Luis Repenning (6) and Juanita Parra (6). Finally, the partial average for the Peruvian representative was 5.9, one of the highest of the night.

About ‘Warmisitay’, released in 2022, Milena said in interview with Skip Intro: “I think that It’s a very real song and, in the end, it touches on a very important background that is the issue of identity.
