Gorillaz release “Cracker Island”, their eighth album with Bad Bunny collaborations

Gorillaz publishes his long-awaited eighth album, “Cracker Island”, which includes collaborations with various artists such as Tame Impala, Bootie Brown, Stevie Nicks, Beck, Adeleye Omotayo and Bad Bunny. The 11-track album was produced by Greg Kurstin, Remi Kabaka Jr. and Damon Albarn, and follows previous Song Machine collection EPs from 2021 and 2020.

The band that is known for hits like “Feel Good Inc”, “Clint Eastwood” and “Dare” has been experimenting with various genres such as electronic, pop, hip-hop and alternative. Prior to the release of their latest album, Gorillaz issued five singles released as teaser, Among some of those songs is “Cracker Island”, a song with the same name as the album and which included the participation of the musician Thundercat.

“Cracker Island” has been highly anticipated by fans since its announcement in August 2022. The band has released five singles ahead of the album, including “Cracker Island” featuring Thundercat, “New Gold” featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown, “Baby Queen,” “Skinny Ape” and “Silent Running” featuring Adeleye Omotayo. The latter has already garnered over five million streams on Spotify and launched with an accompanying music video.
