The great of entertainment Disney announced that it will premiere the animated short “carl’s date”, inspired by the protagonist of the movie “Up: An adventure from the heights”, during the launch of his new film “Elemental”. The public will be able to enjoy Mr. Carl Fredricksen again on January 15 in theaters in Peru.
Despite the fact that this short was expected to be part of the miniseries “Life of Dug”, Disney and Pixar decided to wait to have a special on the big screen. “New adventure. The same partner”, reads the description of the ad.
It should be noted that “Carl’s Date” is the last work of actor Ed Asner, who gave the original voice to Carl Fredricksen, since he passed away in August 2021.
As Disney shared at the time, this special shows Carl Fredricksen, who reluctantly agreed to go out with a friend. However, after the passing of his beloved Ellie, he doesn’t know what it’s like to date these days; therefore, he will have to seek help.
“Ever a helpful friend, Dug steps in to calm Carl’s pre-date nerves and offers some tried-and-true tips for making friends, if you’re a dog,” the synopsis adds.
Pixar’s “Life of Dug” is directed by Bob Peterson and contains a series of shorts that follow the hilarious adventures of the lovable dog from the movie “Up”, Dug. “Each short shows day-to-day events that occur in Dug’s backyard, all through the eyes of our favorite talking dog”adds the official synopsis.
The first season of “The Life of Dug” has five episodes (approximately 10 minutes) that are available through the Disney+ streaming platform with a subscription.
