Book Fair “City with Culture” arrives in Barranco

As part of the celebrations for the International Book Daythe Municipality of Barranco together with Ciudad Librera in alliance with the Fondo de Cultura Económica, come together to carry out the book Fair “City with culture: Barranco, the place we all want”.

This project is focused on prevailing book dissemination and reading, as well as the promotion of artistic activities, where citizens and tourists can enjoy our letters and art.

The fair is now open to the public and ends on May 7 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 11:00 am to 9:00 pm (Friday to Sunday). It will take place in the Municipal Park of Barranco (Av. Pedro de Osma 102, Barranco).

more than 25 fairground stands, between bookstores, distributors, publishers and entrepreneurs, who will offer discounts, promotions and news at affordable prices for the public.

More than 40 cultural activities will also be offered throughout the fair, which bring together renowned writers, artists, workshop leaders, actors, among others.

There will be activities where they will find books and texts from different publishers for children and young people, such as book presentations, poetry recitals, talks, educational and cultural conversations, reading mediation, storytelling.

CULTURAL PROGRAM

Among the activities presented by the Barranco Book Fair are the presentation of the books “Fueguito” by Daniel Maguiña (April 29 at 6:00 pm), “X-ray of wild bodies” by César Nieri (April 30, 5:00 pm), “Don’t read books about zombies” by Miguel Ángel Vallejo (May 5 at 6:00 pm), among others.

Cultural talk with the managers Alicia Meza and Hugo Grandez (April 28 at 7:00 pm), discussion of the well-known bookstagram/booktubers “The Good Bookseller” and “Merlin’s Library (May 6 at 7:00 pm), as well as musical presentations, poetry recital, among others.
