Ed Sheeran released “-“, his new album: 5 phrases that summarize his creative process

british singer Ed Sheeran released “-” (or “Subtract”), his new album. In this material, available on all digital platforms since May 5, he collects “the fear, depression and anxiety” that he experienced in 2022 when various misfortunes occurred in his life.

Continuing with his distinctive characteristic of using various mathematical symbols, in this he used the subtraction symbol and explained that writing the 14 songs that make up the album was like “opening the hatch” of his soul.

The artist assures that for the first time he has not made the album thinking of the public’s taste but to reflect “honestly” at what point he is in his “adult life”.

Next Wednesday, May 10, Ed Sheeran will participate in the new season of Apple Music Live and will play the songs “-” for the first time with his 12-member band.
