“The Year of the Tiger”, the Disney film by Carlos Alcántara, is already streaming

In January 2023, Disney announced that it had been working on a project with Carlos Alcantara, the highest grossing actor in Peruvian cinema. It is so that in that same month he revealed the trailer for “the year of the tiger”, a dark comedy starring the national artist, in which his former colleagues from “Patacláun” also participated: Wendy Ramos and Gonzalo Torres.

The tape was filmed in the Dominican Republic and also featured talent from that country. Among them, Nashla Bogaert and Frank Perozo, whose characters give a twist to the plot that surprised those who saw the film on the big screen.

The film premiered in Peruvian theaters on March 27, but did not do well at the box office. In its first week, the tape had less than 5 thousand viewers. Now the film will seek to gain more audience through streaming.

“The Year of the Tiger” is a film that combines the genres of black comedy, thriller and crime.

The story is about a restaurant that is about to go into ruin, and a married couple (Carlos Alcántara Nashla Bogaert) who will do everything possible to prevent it. They will go through a series of events that will lead them to an unexpected outcome.
