Anitta announced the release of two new songs, where she combines three languages

the brazilian singer Anitta released this Friday two new and catchy songs of the funk genre that talk about love and sex in the favelas and that combine parts in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

The two singles, “Casi casi” and “Used to be”, are part of a trilogy entitled “Funk Generation. A Favela Story”, produced by the Universal label and which is accompanied by their respective videos.

In “Almost Almost”, released this Friday, a bikini-clad Anitta acts as a receptionist at a humble inn where young and old couples go to have sexual encounters.

“I know you’ve been thinking about it. Don’t be afraid, I don’t bite, but I touch you”, says a part of the chorus.

The first song in the trilogy, “Funk Rave”, was released a month ago and has already accumulated 14 million views on YouTube and 23 million listeners on Spotify.

The singer explained that for these singles she was inspired by the funk of Rio de Janeiro, a musical genre that mixes hip hop with rap and whose lyrics often have sensual content.

the funk is “the rhythm that raised me and that is part of the culture where I was born. In the videos, there is a lot of what I have lived in the favelas”he said in statements collected in a statement.

Since she burst onto the stage six years ago, Anitta has become not only the greatest figure in current Brazilian music, but also an international phenomenon that has managed to gain a foothold among the ranks of reggaeton that dominates Latin America.

His single “Envolver”, released in Spanish last year, won the 2022 MTV Music Video Award in the “Best Latino” category and has accumulated 570 million views on YouTube and 553 million listeners on Spotify to date.
