The production company Digital Venue Perú reported that the festival “Rock in the Park”which would take place on Saturday, September 9 at the Exhibition Park, was canceled by the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML).
“’Rock in the park’ regrets to announce that the MML has ordered the cancellation of the festival. Since the early hours of the morning today, Saturday, September 9, 2023, it has prevented our staff from entering the Exhibition Park grounds,” the company wrote on its Instagram account.

Through a statement on its social networks, the company added that closing the event harms fans, music groups and the production team in general.
“This decision, in our opinion illegal and arbitrary, affects all the efforts we have made to provide a new edition of ‘Rock in the park’, a top-level festival with Peruvian bands,” complement.

Given the cancellation of “Rock in the Park”, the production company indicated that it would take measures to coordinate a possible rescheduling of the place and date, as well as the refund of money for users who wish to do so.
