Carlos Vives This Saturday he will offer a free-access concert at the Puerta de Alcalá in Madrid to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Day and the 30 years since the release of his album “Clásicos de laprovincia”.
The concert, which will be on Saturday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. (11:00 GMT) and to which all audiences will have access, will be “a great party, full of great friends and guest artists, to celebrate Hispanidad.” advanced its press office in Colombia.
The concert will also feature the presence of other artists such as Ana Mena, Diego Torres, Prince Royce, Niña Pastori, Rozalén, Ryan Castro and Carlos Baute.
Vives will commemorate one of his most acclaimed albums, “Clásicos de la Provincia” which turns 30 years old.
This album that exalted vallenato folklore, which contained songs like “La gota frida”, was released in 1992 and is the Colombian’s sixth studio work, with modern versions of vallenato classics.
“’Clásicos de la Provincia’ marked a before and after in music, since Vives created a new sound from his roots, with which he expanded vallenato internationally”the press office noted in a statement.
The concert in the central Puerta de Alcalá will be “full of surprises” and “will promote the celebration of the language and different Hispanic cultures.”
Vives will once again put Colombia in the center of Madrid, after last year it was the turn of Camilo, who gathered thousands of followers in this central roundabout.
