Billboard Music Awards 2023: Who are the nominees, where and when to watch the ceremony that celebrates the best of music

This Sunday, November 19, the spotlight will be on the annual gala of the Billboard Music Awards 2023, an event that promises to not only reward the music industry’s most notable talents, but also offer a completely new experience for viewers. Last month, the nominees were revealed, and Taylor Swift leads the pack with an impressive total of 20 nominations, establishing herself as the top finalist in several categories.

This year’s gala features a significant change in its format and transmission. According to Billboard, the BBMA 2023 “will offer a new awards show concept that will entertain fans with music and exclusive content, including winner celebrations, behind-the-scenes moments and performances created by the world’s biggest artists”. An interesting twist is that the ceremony will feature performances and acceptance speeches from different parts of the world, adding an international touch to the celebration.

Which artists will perform at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards?

The list of artists confirmed for the gala is as exciting as it is diverse. Mariah Carey will headline the night, performing her Christmas classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ and receiving the coveted Billboard Chart Achievement Award. Other confirmed artists include Peso Pluma, Karol G, Stray Kids, NewJeans, Morgan Wallen and the explosive collaboration of Bebe Rexha and David Guetta.

Taylor Swift, with 20 nominations, is presented as the star of the night, seeking to surpass Drake, who holds the record of 34 awards and is nominated in 14 categories this year. Anticipation is rising as Swift could become the biggest winner in BBMA history and break Drake’s record for most awards won in a single night.

Where to watch the 2023 Billboard Music Awards?

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards have a unique experience prepared for fans, combining music and exclusive content. Performances and awards will be available on the BBMAs and Billboard social channels, as well as via BBMAs.watch on Sunday, November 19. This new approach seeks to offer a more immersive and closer experience for music fans.

When will the 2023 Billboard Music Awards be?

The appointment for the awards is next Sunday, November 19, where several artists will compete for recognition in different categories. The broadcast will begin at 7:00 p.m. (central Mexico), marking a milestone in the history of the BBMAs by opting for digital platforms to bring the gala to viewers’ homes.
