The film “The Holdover,” directed by Alexander Payne, announced its arrival on Peruvian screens starting next Thursday, January 11. The film starring Paul Giamattireaches national theaters with three Golden Globe nominations including Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.
The film has a script developed by David Hemingson. In addition to Paul Giamatti in the role of a cantankerous instructor, the leading cast is completed by actors Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Dominic Sessa.
It should be noted that some reviews of the film point out that it could be a great opportunity for Paul Giamatti, 56, to try for an Oscar award, since his performance is one of the production’s strong points.
“Those Who Stay” follows a cantankerous instructor (Paul Giamatti) at a prestigious American school where he is forced to stay on campus over Christmas break to take care of a group of students who have nowhere else to go.
Over time, he establishes an unexpected bond with one of them, a problematic student (newcomer Dominic Sessa), and with the school’s head chef, who has just lost her son in Vietnam (Da’Vine Joy Randolph).
