The Oscar 2024 They held their 96th edition this October 10 and “Oppenheimer” was, as expected, the big winner of the evening. Christopher Nolan’s film took home 7 trophies, including Best Picture and Best Director.
This year’s gala represented the first in which nominated films had to meet at least 2 of the 4 standards of inclusion and representation that the Academy announced in 2020 to be eligible for the award and make them more equitable.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Dolby Theater at the Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles that could be followed streaming in Latin America on Max (formerly HBO Max).
Jimmy Kimmel was chosen as host of the evening. This is the fourth time that Jimmy Kimmel has hosted the most important film awards.
