“Yana-wara”, a film by Óscar and Tito Catacora, was previewed on the floating islands of the Uros, in Puno

The posthumous film of the late filmmaker Oscar CatacoraYana-Wara”, was previewed on the floating islands of Los Uros, in Puno; through a ceremony where his brother and co-director Tito Catacora also participated.

In this way, the full cast of the movieas well as the local authorities and regional mediawho witnessed the exclusive avant-premiere.

The production of the film chose the Floating Island of the Uros due to the tourist potential and cultural wealth that the community has.

“It was an event that He merged tradition, culture and cinema. It began with an ancestral ritual, in which the inhabitants of the Uros Utitas Corazón and guests connected with their roots and paid tribute to nature and Lake Titicaca (…)”said the Decentralized Directorate of Culture Puno on their social networks.

This exclusive event took place before the official premiere of the film, which will take place this April 4 in all cinemas in Peru.

At the end of the presentation of “Yana-wara”, the audience applauded the film that tells an emotional story that has elements of horror and social drama cinema.
