Choral Duo: Salim Vera and Alberto Fernández premiere “Balas en march”, their new song

The national group Coral premiered its fifth musical song called “Balas en march”, which is inspired by the social conflict that occurred in 2022 after the self-coup on December 7. As it is remembered, in that year various protests broke out that claimed the lives of many Peruvians.

For this reason, the duo made up of Salim Vera (Libido) and Alberto Fernández were inspired by those tragic episodes for this song. “Balas en march” is a preview of their first official EP, which will be released in mid-2024.

Coral is a musical project influenced by new wave, post punk, electronic rock and indie rock. Since its inception in mid-2019, Coral was promoted by Salim Vera, a Peruvian artist recognized for being the leader of the legendary band Libido.

Salim, in an authentic search for new musical directions, founded Coral with a different and original proposal and later Alberto Fernández and Ben Geiser would join, the latter later leaving this group.

Coral’s latest release, “Balas en march”, is also, as the duo stated, “a self-analysis of the author himself who questions his own lack of empathy and interest in the underlying reality.”.

After releasing five singles, Coral is preparing to release its first musical production, which will consist of six songs and will be available in the middle of this year.
