Animatissimo: “Concerto Per Mei” will be held for the benefit of women in vulnerable situations

Animatissimo and Jesuit Mission come together to present the orchestral show Animatissimo: “Concerto Per Mei” in two unmissable performances on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, in the Auditorium of the Santa Úrsula School in San Isidro.

The event will raise funds for Jesuit social projects that serve women and teenage mothers in Moquegua, Tacna, Cusco and Lima.

In a context in which more than 142,000 complaints of violence were registered through the Women’s Emergency Center (2023), the creation of comprehensive support initiatives that allow them to rediscover the potential that lives within them and access better life opportunities , it’s key.

Thus, the theme of the show has been specially thought out and designed to align with the purpose of the benefited projects, paying tribute to the great heroines of anime and video games, and celebrating their bravery and positive impact around the world.

Animatissimo: Concerto Per Mei It is an artistic and vital response to the worrying situation of violence against women in Peru. […] “Every note of this concert will be an opportunity to build a safer and more equitable future for these women,” specifies Gianfranco Dulanto, executive director of the ODP Jesuits of Peru.

For his part, Gabriel Vizcarra Carrasco, artistic director of Animatissimo, added: “[…] It will be an opportunity to reconnect with your inner child, enjoying the magic of a live orchestra and remembering the legacy that the great heroines of anime and video games leave for new generations.”

The repertoire of the chamber concert includes musical pieces representative of culture geek: “A town with an Ocean View” (Kiki’s delivery service), “Bara wa Utsukushiku Chiru” (Lady Oscar), “Elegy of Dynast” (Hunter x Hunter), “Zelda’s Wild Lullaby (mashup)” (Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild).

As well as “Outer Senshi Concerto” (Sailor Moon), “Chun-li theme” (Street Fighter II), “Suzume” (Suzume), “A call for help” (Tomb Rider), “Samus Aran” (Metroid), “Yuzurenai Negai” (Magic Knight Rayearth), “Spear of a True Hero (mashup)” (Undertale), “Kamado Nezuko no Uta” (Kimetsu no yaiba) and others.

In this way, the director of creation and production of Animatissimo said: “[…] We also want to pay tribute to the heroines of everyday life: those women who, with their courage, strength and acts of love, contribute to transforming the reality of their environments.”

The tickets for Animatissimo: Concerto Per Mei They are available on the Teleticket website. The performances are Saturday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m.

Ticket prices start at S/45 soles. The two performances promise to move and make the entire audience vibrate.
