Kenny Zuñiga: Peruvian singer recorded a song at Emilio Estefan’s studios

The urban music singer Kenny Zuñiga better known as DTR achieves another step in his career. His song “Dale mami” has been produced by Cuban DJ Conds in the studios of Cuban-American musician and producer Emilio Estefan.

Likewise, the video for this single was filmed by the Puerto Rican DoNbi in the iconic murals of Wynwood. He knows he has a long way to go, but he doesn’t stop to achieve his dreams and one of them is follow in the footsteps of important reggaeton artists such as Maluma, J Balvin, Ozuna, among others.

“I am happy with the results of ‘Dale Mami’. I do not rule out visiting my dear Peru next year, to publicize all the musical work that I have been doing in the United States. There are important reggaeton references such as Maluma and J Balvin and I would love to reach their level and raise the name of our country ”, said.

“In a few weeks I will also release a rich cumbia that will make more than one dance and a salsa. As a singer I don’t want to rule out any genre, so you will know more about the versatility of this Peruvian who has a lot to give ”, added.

For now, Kenny Zuñiga (DTR) has been finishing new songs, for later make his music videos and release his first record production. The video clips of his songs are already on all digital platforms and you can locate him as Kenny Zuñiga.

Kenny Zuñiga, better known as DTR, started in the world of urban music since 1999. Among Puerto Rican producers he was known as ‘El Peruano’ or ‘Diamond’. He used those nicknames when he was part of the duo “Los DTR”, and this earned him to share the stage with his brother Ysrael, also known as ‘The Godfather’.

During those years, the duo released the album “Dimensión Dos” from which reggaeton songs such as “Gata Catarpila”, “El Martillero”, “Maroma” and “Fuákata” were released. After the duo disintegrated -because Kenny’s brother ‘El Padrino’ moved to Peru- Zuñiga evolved his music and his name. From that moment, Kenny Zuñiga became a DTR. And he works hand in hand with the Puerto Rican DoNbi.

In 2011 he released “Boom Boom”, an urban electropop that is his new single as DiTiAr. The following year he filmed the video clip in Miami Beach. Also alongside Donbi, Kenny Zuñiga creates various songs that contain a message for his audienceOne of them is “Nobody takes me out”, which makes him become an immigration activist. In the video clip, he included for the first time his son, who was three years old at the time.

It is worth mentioning that his first song as Kenny Zuñiga is “Cuida tuplane”, a single whose lyrics are inspired by and dedicated to planet Earth. With more than 17 thousand organic reproductions on YouTube, the audiovisual production of almost three minutes, in which his son – now 10 years old – participates again, is also directed by the Puerto Rican DoNbi in Miami.
