Since their arrival in Peru in August and subsequent transfer to the Imperial City, the vehicles of “Transformers: The Awakening of the Beasts” put an end to their stay on national soil. Yesterday, Tuesday, November 16, the imposing units left Cusco for Lima.

This was corroborated by El Comercio, after capturing the departure of Optimus Prime and company, who left Cusco in a convoy led by national carriers. They said that they felt “Happy and excited to drive a tremendous load and that it was the first time that people approached him to take pictures with his trailer”.

A total of 15 Transformers units arrived in Cusco: three Optimus Prime, three Scourge, two Porsche, two Skyline, two Bumblebee, a Pablo and a Ducati motorcycle, which made recordings in the Historic Center of Cusco, Sacred Valley of the Incas, Maras Moray and La Convencion.

Before leaving Cusco, the actors Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, cited how happy they felt shooting scenes in world heritage places such as Machu Picchu, where they translated the energy of the place into scenes with great force and vigor, as they pointed out to a local media .

For his part, director Steven Caple thanked the local authorities, who allowed the construction and erection of prop walls, in order to be used in action scenes in Transformers: Awakening of the Beasts.

Regional sources indicated that a total of 1,500 extras were hired by the Transformers production to give life to the largest scene in the film, set in the 90s in the Plaza Mayor of Cusco, where a kind of carnival parade was filmed.
