Luis Fonsi delays concerts in Puerto Rico from February to May due to COVID-19

The singer and composer Luis Fonsi He delayed the dates for his concerts in Puerto Rico to May, initially scheduled for February, given the rebound in positive cases of COVID-19 on the Caribbean island, the organization of the shows reported in a statement.

The show scheduled for Saturday, February 12, will be rescheduled for May 28, while the second show scheduled for Sunday, February 13, will also be rescheduled for Friday, May 27.

Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows will be valid for the new dates.

“Given the rise in COVID-19 cases in Puerto Rico and for the safety of all, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the concert. It is something that we would not have wanted to do, but it is the right thing to do at the moment “, Tony Mojena, producer of the event, indicated in relation to the reason for the change of date of the concert.

For his part, before the announcement, the artist commented that he is very excited to appear on the island and be with his people, but that at this moment “the most important thing” is that everyone is “in good health and safe.”

Although the tickets purchased for the original functions are valid for the new dates, those who are interested in requesting or claiming a refund of their money from Ticketera will be able to do so from this Wednesday until February 1.
