Statements against vaccination: Professor Henri Joyer was banned from practicing medicine for two years

He will no longer be able to train for two years. Professor Henri Joyeux was finally banned from working as a doctor after making false claims against certain vaccines, while the previous exposure was canceled several years ago, according to a document sent Monday by the Order of Physicians.

“Professor Joyeux has been given a ban from practicing medicine for a period of two years” from 2024, according to a decision by the national disciplinary chamber of the Order of Physicians, first published by the medical news site Egora.

Serial

This radiation is the latest step in a series that for many years pitted Henri Joyeux, known for his proliferation of medically unsound positions, against the Order of Physicians. The case centers on two petitions published online in September 2014 and May 2015 by Henri Joyeux.

The first was directed against the recommendation of the Supreme Council of Public Health, which the government did not follow, advocating lowering the age of vaccination against the papilloma virus for girls from 11 to 9 years. The second criticized the replacement of the trivalent DTPolio vaccine (that is, protecting against three diseases: diphtheria, tetanus and polio) with a hexavalent vaccine (protecting against six diseases) due to the risks associated with the presence of aluminum in the latter.

Following these allegations, the National Council had already disqualified Henri Joyeux for two years in 2016, but this decision was annulled by the disciplinary chamber, which operates independently of the council. The case was referred to the Council of State, which in 2019 overturned the decision of the disciplinary chamber, paving the way for a new procedure. This time it was at the end that the Chamber actually fired Henri Joyeux.

“Controversial Formulas”

He spoke “in an alarmist manner, without evidence from science,” according to the chamber, which also accused him of “alarming parents of young children by using polemical formulas.”

Henri Joyeux, who also spread erroneous information about Covid, is also the target of other cases, notably secret clinical trials for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. The Medicines Agency (ANSM) banned these trials, but administrative courts overturned this decision, causing the ANSM to appeal to the State Council. The latter’s decision is still awaited.
