Turkey Kaipi, the delicious recipe with cashew nuts that will become your favorite

This recipe is super fun for kids and of course it is very rich. It is easy to prepare and perfect for a family weekend night, but also for any lunch and even for lunch boxes, of course, without the lollipop sticks. If you wish, you can accompany the Kaipis with a dip of aguaymanto jam or with lemon juice and Chinese cinnamon. Lollipop sticks can be found at stores that sell confectionery or chocolate items.

Ingredients:

[inicio-ingredientes]

  • 550 g ground turkey leg
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili pepper finely chopped, without veins or seeds (optional, not for babies or young children)
  • 1/2 cup roughly chopped cashews
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Chinese onion, white part
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese onion, green part
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 4 tablespoons chuño
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation:

[inicio-instrucciones]

Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and form the kaipi balls, measuring them with the help of a spoon so that they are uniform. Then pass them through chuño or rice flour and fry them in a thick-bottomed pot with ¾ liter of oil, until golden brown. Remove them from the pot with the help of a metal slotted spoon or strainer and place them on a paper towel. Then put the pacifier stick on them. Serve with the aguaymanto jam dip. To decorate they can be placed on one of coriander buds and edible flowers. They can also be served in Chinese spoons.
