The 100 best street foods has been the latest release, the curious thing is that Peru has not been considered anywhere. Find out who makes up this new ranking.

According to TasteAtlas, fifth place goes to Japan with Karaage, which is actually a technique known as dry frying. The food, which can be meat, fish and chicken, is coated with arrowroot starch and then deep-fried. The most popular is eaten with chicken and a variant called tatsutaage, which is a mixture of sake, soy sauce, and sugar, then lightly cooked, starched, and deep-fried.

In fourth place, Mexico appears with the popular carnitas, a dish made with slow-cooked pork in its own fat until completely tender, then proceeds to raise the heat until it is crispy on the outside and can be shredded. . These carnitas are served in tortillas and eaten with salsa, beans, guacamole, lime, or fresh vegetables.

Third place also goes to Mexico with its popular tacos, the flagship dish of the northern country. This food dates back to the 18th century, when the term was used of gunpowder that was wrapped in a piece of paper and inserted into rocks. With this, the precious mineral from the mines was excavated and they were called mining blocks. Currently, tacos are thin and flat baked tortillas filled with different ingredients, the most classic is to eat them with roast beef.

Malaysia takes second place with the Roti Canai, a fried flatbread made from traditional Indian flour, water, eggs and butter. The dough is folded repeatedly so that in the end it has a layered texture, with a soft interior and a crunchy exterior, this dish is often served with curry. The roti canai would be born in India and was brought to Malaysia by immigrants.

The Chinese dish, Guotié is at the top of the TasteAtlas list. This dish is a dumpling stuffed with pork, Chinese cabbage, spring onions, ginger, rice wine, and sesame seed oil. The crunchy and soft texture is achieved by its method of preparation. As the bottom of the dumpling is frying, a small amount of water is added to the pan and then covered, this causes the rest to steam.
