These are the 10 best chicken shops in Lima, according to the Somos 2023 Awards

Among the favorite flavors of Peruvians is that of grilled chicken has a privileged place. In the city of Lima, chicken shops are one of the most requested restaurants and, therefore, this dish even has its own day.

This 2023, the newspaper El Comercio organized the first edition of the Somos Awards, its gastronomic awards, and among the more than 40 existing categories, there was one dedicated to poultry shops.

In the first edition of the Somos Awards, the chicken shop that received the most votes from the public was Pardo’s Chicken.

The chicken shop began its history in 1986, with a store on Avenida José Pardo, in Miraflores, which was founded in partnership by willy Wong and Antony Ortiz.

It should be noted that, in total, during the two months that the voting was active, more than 25 thousand participations from our readers were registered.

The Somos 2023 Awards also had special recognition determined by a jury chaired by the journalist Hirka Roca Rey.

In addition, the Bernardo Roca Rey trophy was awarded to the Gastronomic Trajectory. This award was given to the well-known German chef Astrid Gutsche.
