If you’re a Londoner, you’ll undoubtedly have some pretty strong opinions about the best place to live in the capital.

The mere mention of ‘south of the river’ leaves some people cold, while others might as well have ‘southwest is best’ tattooed on their foreheads.

But now a new ranking has revealed London’s most desirable areas, and it’s no surprise that some of the capital’s chicest spots are all in the top 10.

And which neighborhood would people most like to move to? This goes to the green Hampstead in North London.

It’s known for attracting famous residents such as Harry Styles and Ricky Gervais, and with the vast expanse of Hampstead Heath on its doorstep, it has plenty to offer.

But be warned if you’re looking for an apartment there. According to Foxton’s, the average price of a house in Hampstead last year was a whopping £1,847,180.

The list, which was part of Time Out’s ranking of the world’s coolest neighborhoods, was compiled by surveying 12,000 people about the areas in their city. One of the questions asked was: Where in your city would you like to move?

Many other glamorous neighborhoods have also made it, from Soho to Notting Hill.

Ted Lasso’s Richmond was one of the few areas in South London to make the cut – but we can see why: the area comes alive in the summer, with a beautiful park and a river perfect for rowing.

The other was Greenwich, home to literal time, the popular market and the breathtaking views of London from the observatory.
