Can you imagine eating all the grilled chicken what do you want? How many do you think you would be able to try? At Farmer Chicken, located in La Molina, they give you the opportunity to show off your good teeth with an all you can eat at the price of S/.25.9. “You can eat up to 1 and ¼ of a chicken, for me it would be impossible,” says Fernando Pérez, general manager, smiling. “The average is ¾ of a chicken. And they are not small! They are average size,” he adds.

The offer includes chicken and potatoes, in addition to the creams. First they give you half a chicken and, when finished, they start serving it in quarters. If you fill up, there is no penalty. Don’t be afraid to miss the opportunity, Pérez assures that this open bar is here to stay. It can be accessed any day of the week, at any time. What characterizes this chick? He shares with us what his diners say: “I like it because I feel it is a very traditional recipe.” How right they are.

RECIPE WITH FAMILY TRADITION

The idea of ​​opening the chicken and grill restaurant was born during the pandemic, following a family recipe that is more than 40 years old. “My mom liked to do meetings and things. She wanted a change and began to explore these topics. For example, the recipe for anticucho is also my mother’s,” says Fernando. Those who tried that chicken were delighted and encouraged him to put something together.

So he decided it was time for more people to try this seasoning. “The idea is not only to have good grilled chicken, but also to have good quality meats and respect the tradition of each dish,” explains the general manager. Therefore, to prepare the anticucho they have an anticuchera griddle that is different from the meat griddle. In addition, there are 7 creams and sauces to accompany each dish accordingly.

Ají pollero and mayonnaise for the chicken, ají parrillero and chimichurri for the meats, rocoto carretillero for the anticucho, in addition to the Honey Mustard and BBQ. They are all made in the poultry shop. “What we do is serve each dish with what it corresponds to,” he emphasizes.

FOR CARNIVORES

As we have mentioned, Farmer Chicken has two great pillars: its grilled chickens and its meats. In the second case, they work with American and Argentine cuts, the most popular being steaks, American picaña and entraña. Can anyone resist them? These, and other cuts, can be accompanied with salads, French fries and more.

A third pillar is its premium burgers. “There are people who also come just for the burgers. They all have 130 grams. of premium meat,” says Fernando. All except the ‘green beast’ which has 3 burgers (390 grams in total), with triple cheddar cheese and bacon jam, all wrapped in green bread. In total, it weighs about half a kilo. “We’re launching a new one, it’s called ‘speechless’, because it will really leave you speechless. “It’s huge,” he says.

Grilled chicken and meats are the two great pillars of the restaurant.

We finished the visit with one of their drinks. They have their own macerates and one of the most popular drinks is ‘take it’: a pisco macerate with cherries, ginger ale and a special touch.

Farmer Chicken opened at the end of 2021 in La Molina. A district that is getting tastier with a range of restaurants offering seafood, Italian, Creole, meat, chicken and more. All of this helps to energize the area. “It is a very good square. It has an important and very varied gastronomic offer. There is something for all tastes in La Molina,” he points out. He’s already considering opening a second location, but (for now) you’ll only find the unlimited grilled chicken bar in La Molina.
