The Wine Festival: everything you need to know about the event that starts today

An event to celebrate wine is what Tomad & Bebed have come up with when preparing the program for the first edition of the Wine Festival, a meeting that they hope will become a tradition in the city.

This party proposes that attendees taste and get to know the best wines on the market while they enter “an epic and unbeatable party with spaces intervened with lighting, projections, characters, music and even a dance floor,” as described in the press release of event announcement.

The wine party will be led by the expert José Alberto Carrera, a sommelier who currently holds the position of Head Sommelier of Astrid y Gastón.

“There will be an exclusive selection of wines and sparkling wines at special prices, carefully chosen by Carrera and attendees will also be able to enjoy delicious meats, paellas, cheeses and charcuterie in an atmosphere full of style and fun,” it is announced.

According to the official program, the attending public will be able to find wine brands from Spain, Italy, France, the United States, China, Germany, Argentina, Chile and Peru. In total, more than 200 labels from around the world will participate. Among them, labels that are not usually found in national stores.

“What really sets us apart is the opportunity to enjoy the best wines in an exclusive environment, where you can uncork and stay to enjoy with your friends, partner or co-workers,” explained José Alberto Carrera.

In addition, there will be a selection of Peruvian wines from Lima, Arequipa, Moquegua and Cusco, coming from small wineries with artisanal productions such as Bodegas Joyas de Murga, Hacienda del Abuelo and the wineries represented by Perú Vino.

The wine festival will be held at the Jesús María Military Circle on April 30 and May 1.
