‘It’s social contempt’: A student explains why she took Elizabeth Bourne on an assignment in Matingnon.

“What you have done, Madam Prime Minister, is social contempt.” It was launched on Wednesday by a 21-year-old student invited to Matignon for “Youth Meetings”. A young woman named Nina Fleury-Panel explains to BFMTV the circumstances of her departure: “I was asked to come to Matignon for a white card (…) I took it to say what was in my heart”, in particular, to youth abstinence.

“I am 21 years old, you are a three (…) I ask the honor to be heard. Leave room for us,” she told Elizabeth Bourne on Wednesday evening. The latter replied: “You have understood that the expression is free. We listen to you, or at least we try. We need young people who are fully committed to democratic life. »

“What I reproached the prime minister for was that she absolved herself of responsibility for abstention, accusing the French of not understanding the programs, not thinking that it was the fault of the politicians,” says the winner of the international award of the Eloquencia association.

“It’s taking the youth from above”

“Young people today have the tools to understand politics. If they decide not to vote, it will be a choice, not a lack of information,” adds Nina Fleury-Panel. To say this is to look down on young people, to despise them and not to understand that we are smart and understand the world. »

“Young people abstain because we don’t talk about them and because there is no politics like them,” insists the young student again.

Nina Fleury-Panel claims to have received “great goodwill from the government” at the end of her speech.
