Pedro García: “At no time could Cristal have taken anything else” | VIDEO

Last Wednesday, April 19, Sporting Cristal fell before River Plate by date 2 of the group stage of the Libertadores Cup 2023 and it was complicated in the international tournament, since they had previously lost to Fluminense.

In his post-match analysis, Pedro García, a journalist for Movistar Deportes, asserted that the ‘Millionaire’ team was vastly superior at the Mas Monumental stadium and that the sky-blue ones “let themselves be fooled” by the partial result of 2-2.

“At no time could Cristal have taken anything else. In other words, sometimes the partial results of the matches deceive us. Oh tie… that has its merit, right? Go deep. foul. Red card. Free shot. Great goal. It was a snapshot in the match, almost a mirage because in the match, in that first half, Cristal was totally overwhelmed, surpassed”, the press man began by saying.

“I think that the first half, although it ended in a draw, was misleading in the result. Sometimes the result deceives you, and Cristal was deceived. In the second part the deception was noticed. I believe that Cristal lost it at the beginning, lost it in the middle and lost it at the end”, added Pedro García.

When and against whom is Sporting Cristal’s next match in Libertadores?

The match between Peruvians and Bolivians is scheduled to be played next Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
