Edhu Oliva arrived at Universidad San Martín after being loaned by Alianza Lima

Universidad San Martín began to put together a competitive squad for League 1 this season. The holy team does not want to complicate itself with the relegation places as it happened in recent years and, for this reason, it began to strengthen.

In this sense, the institution announced Edhu Oliva as its new player. The midfielder arrives in Santa Anita after being loaned by Alianza Lima, a team with which he became champion in 2021 and played 16 games (local tournament and Bicentennial Cup).

It is important to mention that the footballer defended the colors of the holy club for three seasons (2018, 2019 and 2020). For his part, in 2017, he made his professional debut at Sporting Cristal.

It should be remembered that Universidad San Martín stayed in the First Division after the TAS ruling. Due to the resolution, the League 1 2021 position table underwent changes and the holy team occupied position 16, so they should play a permanence match against Carlos Stein.

However, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) decided that the “Albos” would remain in the highest category since the tournament had already concluded and, in addition, the Chiclayo cast had risen after beating Binacional in the playoffs.

However, the match will be postponed to Saturday, March 26, because both have had less preparation time compared to the other clubs.
