Ángelo Caro is focused on getting a medal in Paris 2024: “I’m going to Europe to improve my level”

Ángelo Caro excited the country with his skateboarding techniques during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The Peruvian athlete placed fifth, however, he was thirsty for revenge, which he hopes to collect in Paris 2024.

For that reason, the national representative confirmed that he will prepare in the ‘Old Continent’ to hang a medal in the next edition of the JJ. OO. and leave the name of Peru high.

“In April I am going to live in Europe to improve my level. I will be here for a year. First I’m going to Spain and I hope it goes well, I’ll dedicate myself to competing and training for the next Olympic Games. Then, I plan to travel to the United States for another year.” stated in an interview for the website Legacy.

Ángelo Caro confessed that he will miss his loved ones, however, he trusts that his preparation will serve him well. “I learned a lot in Peru and Latin America, but in Europe I will polish the technical part. It makes me sad to leave a lot of things, like family, food and the Legado skatepark, where I train”he pointed.

“I grew up here and this venue even has my name. I would like to walk around the venue and have my children see the recognition. It will be worth the sacrifice to bring a medal to my country”he added.

In the same way, he mentioned that he has presented some ailments. “I’m still in my recovery stage, after all the competitions I faced last year. At the Pan American Games in Cali I already had three injuries, but I gave everything to close 2021 well″, express.
