Before making a name for himself in professional football, Joaquín Messi is already attracting attention. For now, his potential is not known, but because of the last name he bears, the young Newell’s Old Boys player has captured the attention of the sports press in this part of the world.

With a view to the start of the participation of ‘Leprosy’ in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20, Conmebol conducted a special interview with ’10’ of the Rosario youth team, in which he clarified that it has nothing to do with the crack of the ‘Albiceleste’ and PSG.

“I am Joaquín Messi, a Newell’s player and I have to play with the ’10′ shirt. I live in a town near Rosario, his name is Colonel Arnold. I’m 19 years old and I started in the minors at Newell’s when I was 8 years old. I did all my training there. And now I’m in my last year of fourth”, confessed Joaquin.

The athlete said that it is simply a coincidence that he has the last name of ‘Leo’ Messi, who also had his time in the Newell’s minors.

“As soon as I arrived, many asked me if they were related to Lionel Messi or something like that. It is a simple coincidence. For example, in my town, there are three families with the surname Messi. It’s natural. As surnames coincide in all parts of the world. I just had to coincide with him and, as I am a footballer, they relate to me even more “he recounted.

Of course, Joaquín did not miss the opportunity to reveal that sharing the pitch with Lionel Messi would be a dream come true. Of course, the ex-star of Barcelona would wear the ’10’.

“Playing with him would be the most beautiful thing that could happen to me in my life. It would be an impressive thing. Give me any number, give him the ’10′”, sentenced.
