Alianza Lima started with his foot on the accelerator in the first half against Carlos Mannucci and was looking to open the scoring anyway. However, as happened in previous games, the players missed opportunities. On top of that, the game went uphill when Jairo Concha was sent off.

The incident originated after an argument between Yuriel Celi and the blue and white midfielder. However, the latter did not control the situation and raised his hand on the face of the footballer from the Trujillo team in front of the referee Joel Alarcón who gave him the red card. Everything got complicated when José Rivera scored the 1-0 of the visit.

But, Carlos Bustos managed to rethink the team and get the game going. Hernán Barcos scored the tie at 56′ and then Olivera also went to the locker room after a double yellow (78′). Both teams were left with 10 men and the local cast was able to take more advantage of this situation, as they turned the match around with goals from Míguez (81′) and Benavente (90’+2).

After the victory, Jairo Concha expressed his regret for complicating his cast. “I want to apologize first to my teammates and then to the fans, they are mistakes that should not be made and unfortunately I was wrong, I promise it will not happen again”he wrote in one of his Instagram stories.

Likewise, the player highlighted the dedication of the team. “Great triumph and sacrifice of the team that played a great time with one less player and showed that Alianza is up for great things”he added.
