After the first of the Russian attack on Ukraine, various testimonies of what is lived in the affected territory come to light. Recently, the Argentine soccer player Francisco Di Franco gave an interview to tell what happened in the early hours of Thursday, when the first bombs and other strong impacts began to fall.

“There were bombs that fell near the city in Dnipro at five in the morning, I was very scared. I don’t know if they attacked the city, but the explosion was heard. I saw it from my window, the building shook and so on.”started the attacker who debuted in Boca Juniors in 2013 under the leadership of Carlos Bianchi.

Immediately, the 27-year-old athlete said that from SC Dnipro they contacted him. “As soon as there were those two explosions, the club called us to the base and we were there for a while. There was another explosion, we went to a bunker and now we foreigners are in a hotel to be safer”He commented on The Network.

Then, Di Franco delved into the current situation in the country. “Things are getting complicated little by little because they are beginning to close the cities and you cannot cross from one to another. The closest border we have with Poland is about 12 hours away and it is difficult to get there. I have been in the Ukraine for four years, luckily my wife is in Argentina and I am alone here”.

At another time, the striker assured that the institution of the Ukrainian Premier League gave him a series of recommendations to stay safe. Among them, the club suggested that they stay in their homes, avoid traveling on the road and wait for communication before an event.

“They told us to stay in our houses, not to travel at night along the route and to take shelter until that they communicate with us. So far no one has contacted me, only from the club.”added Di Franco, who came to Ukraine in mid-2017 from Karpaty Lviv and then moved to SC Dnipro.

On the other hand, the Olé newspaper recalls that there are three Argentine soccer players in the Ukrainian league. In addition to Di Franco (SC Dnipro), there is also Fabricio Alvarenga from Rukh from Lviv and Claudio Paul Spinelli from Oleksandriya. They all belong to the highest category.
