Santiago Ormeño on the tragedy in Querétaro: “Violence is never an option or a solution”

Managers, coaches and players from Liga MX have spoken out after the violent confrontation between barristas from Querétaro and Atlas. All the protagonists disapproved of this type of action through the media or social networks. Precisely in that way, Santiago Ormeño shared a publication.

“It is very painful that we continue to experience situations like yesterday’s in Querétaro. Violence is never an option or a solution.” wrote the striker from León, one of the clubs that participates in the Clausura 2022 Tournament. The ‘Fiera’ gunner shared the same position as so many other personalities related to Aztec football.

Immediately, the man from the Peruvian team sent his best wishes to all the people who were affected by the barbarism in the Corregidora stadium last Saturday. “I hope that all those affected are well, that something like this never happens again”concluded ‘Santi’ Ormeño.

Reflection of Juan Reynoso

“Today we return to the time of barbarism, but not only the people who were carried away by hatred, by resentment, by some misunderstood hobby, not only for that part. Today we have little social awareness of filming something and putting it on networks. They are lives of human beings, they are people who went to a stadium to enjoy a game, we are on the verge of a world war that suddenly makes us all disappear and we do not realize it “said Juan Reynoso.

Later, the Cruz Azul coach lamented the damage suffered by people inside the Querétaro stadium. “We are thinking of harming others and not adding so that we can be a civilized culture. It is superfluous to offer condolences to the family because there is no word or situation that can cure the pain, the impotence that the family must feel.”.

Likewise, Reynoso believes that the date should have been stopped before. “Hopefully this situation marks us all because in a tweet, in a comment we are generating violence and we don’t realize it. Over there they informed me that the day is already suspended tomorrow (today), but it should have been done from the match at six in the afternoon, I hope this makes us better “he stated.

In closing, the Peruvian strategist considered that a change in mentality will be vital to avoid seeing this type of episode again. “Nothing is going to heal the wounds of the people who went to the stadium and I can’t imagine how the people will be in their homes. If we continue in the same inertia, thinking how we are thinking, it will surely happen again”.
