His return to League 1 has not gone unnoticed. Yoshimar Yotún has returned to Sporting Cristal and Ricardo Gareca gave his point of view on the matter. The coach of the Peruvian National Team confirmed that he hopes to see the midfielder compete, since he is one of the regular starters with the “Blanquirroja” in the South American Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022.

“For me, I would love to see him playing the 90 minutes. We saw him excited, involved. Surely we hope that he plays because that is necessary to be respectful of the decisions of the technicians. I hope he gets the chance to play.” the coach of the national team said at a press conference.

On the other hand, Ricardo Gareca made it clear that the Peruvian National Team He will go out with his best elements to the Centennial Stadium in search of a result that will allow them to dream of qualifying directly for the next World Cup event, to be held in Qatar at the end of this year.

“Peru is not here to speculate on anything. We need to go out there and win every game. We have to be focused on what can happen. I never had that audacity to read the future. I’m not good for that. The Peruvian National Team will go out to play with Uruguay with the best it has and in its best form. It will be a very difficult game for us.” added.

Peru defined work start date

The Peruvian National Team defined its calendar with a view to the double date of the Qualifiers. In that sense, Ricardo Gareca’s technical command will begin to work on March 14 with the players of the local tournament, hoping that the ‘foreigners’ will integrate as the days go by.

Peru vs. Uruguay will be played on Thursday, March 24 at 6:30 pm (Peruvian time), in parallel to other important matches. After that, the Peruvian National Team will return to Lima to receive Paraguay the following Tuesday, March 29 at 6:30 pm looking for their ticket for the next World Cup event in Qatar.
