Kyrgios said goodbye to Indian Wells
The explosive Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios displayed another collection of excesses on Thursday in his defeat (7-6, 5-7, 6-4) in the Indian Wells quarterfinals against Rafa Nadal, culminating in a racket throw against the court that he came close to hitting a ball boy.
Before apologizing on Instagram, the controversial Kyrgios was defiant when asked by the press about that latest incident, which occurred just after greeting Nadal online.
Furious at the defeat, the temperamental tennis player smashed his racket against the court, which bounced hard towards the part of the wall where a ball boy was, who had to dodge it.
“What do you want me to answer about that? Was it my intention? Obviously not”Kyrgios stressed.
