Sergio Ramos recovered from the umpteenth injury he has suffered since signing for PSG. Then, coach Mauricio Pochettino did not hesitate to consider him in the squad that will play against Lorient this Sunday. The good news for the center-back came amid doubts as to whether he will continue next season in France.

Regarding this, the radio station RMC Sport revealed that a meeting will soon take place between the world champion in 2010 and the board of ‘Les Parisiens’. The conversation between both parties will be key to defining the case of the footballer who was hired at the start of the campaign with the aim of winning the Champions League.

“The idea is not to make him go away, but to listen to his feelings. Then it will be time to make a joint decision.”, details the half Gaul. In fact, the high command of Paris Saint Germain wants Sergio Ramos to have time to carry out a self-assessment for his period in the capital’s squad.

The defender has a contract until mid-2023, but his permanence is not fully confirmed due to injuries. Precisely, Nasser Al Khelaïfi, the president, and Leonardo, the sports director, have doubts regarding the physical condition of the Spaniard. Therefore, what happens between now and the end of the season will be decisive for the club and the athlete.

For now, the 36-year-old footballer has an excellent opportunity at hand on matchday 30 of Ligue 1. The former Real Madrid, fully recovered from the calf injury, may have a few minutes against Lorient. If so, the international will see action for the first time since last January 23.

Ramos, who has barely played a total of five official commitments with ‘Les Bleus’, wants to demonstrate to the institution’s board, before the aforementioned meeting, that he can be an element that contributes in the rest of the campaign and thinking about the following. To close the 2021-2022 in France, nine games remain with this afternoon (1:45 pm, Peruvian time).

The Parisians are absolute leaders with 65 points and have a wide advantage over Olympique Marseille who added 56 points. Further back Rennes appears with 53, Strasbourg and Nice with 51 each.
