Mahdi Camara dismissed by his club after breaking the nose of a reserve team player in a fight

ASSE, currently in the play-off position (18th) in Ligue 1, would have done well without extra-sporting news, when preparing for a match in Lorient (16th) decisive for its future in the elite. As revealed The Teamthe Saint-Etienne club has just dismissed from the professional group this Tuesday, and for five days, one of its executive players, Mahdi Camara.

A strong decision by the leaders of the Greens, which follows a fight which involved Monday, at the training center of L’Etrat (Loire), the versatile 23-year-old player. Contacted by 20 minutesASSE confirms “having reminded Mahdi Camara of his duty to set an example and having sanctioned him for five days after an altercation”.

The former captain from Saint-Etienne (until the dismissal of Claude Puel in December) attacked Yanis Bourbia, substitute goalkeeper for the reserve team of the Greens, who plays in National 3. Mahdi Camara accuses him of s be mocked for his match against OM (2-4) on Sunday, when he attended the match in the VIP stand of the Cauldron, alongside Camara’s family.

Yanis Bourbia had stitches put in the hospital

Yanis Bourbia allegedly insulted the mother of number 8 from Saint-Etienne during the match, which prompted Mahdi’s brother to come to blows with him in the stands. Discovering Monday afternoon that Yanis Bourbia boasted of having “broken the mouth of Camara’s brother”, Mahdi Camara wanted to do battle with him at L’Etrat, breaking the nose of the 20-year-old goalkeeper in the process, and him hurting the mouth, under the gaze of other players and educators of the club.

This fight led Yanis Bourbia to hospitalization, in order to put him in particular stitches. A crisis meeting was set up at ASSE and led to this sanction for the week concerning Mahdi Camara, with according to The Team pay suspension. He will therefore train individually and will not be able to be part of the group selected for the key match in Lorient on Friday (9 p.m.).
