After his participation in the ATP 500 in Dubai, Novak Djokovic will return to competition. The Serbian will be present at the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, a tournament in which he will debut this Tuesday against the Spanish Davidovich Fokina. On the eve of the game, however, there is always time to relax.

The Serbian had a fun encounter with Neymar and Marco Verratti, PSG players, and they were encouraged to play with the ball. As can be seen in a video shared on social networks, the three figures tried to keep the ball in the air, without it falling. In the end, ‘Nole’ lost the impromptu game.

The curious moment took place at the Montecarlo Country Club in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and caught the attention of several people, who were moved by the presence of three world sports figures, such as Djokovic, the Brazilian Neymar and the Italian Verratti, who will be left with the win of playing the World Cup Qatar 2022.

Djokovic back in the ring

After months of minimal inactivity due to his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19, Novak Djokovic resumes competition on clay in the new week in Monte Carlo, where he will begin his countdown to Roland Garros.

“I miss the competition. I’m still very motivated, I want to play against the youngsters, against the best in the world, to win the most beautiful titles”, declared the Serbian on recent Sunday, coinciding with the first day of the 2022 edition of the Monegasque tournament.

Djokovic remains number 1 in the ATP ranking. He only relinquished that post for two weeks to Russia’s Daniil Medvedev and on Monday he will begin his 365th week at the top of the world rankings.
