Laporta describes as “shame” the massive presence of German fans at the Camp Nou

The president of BarcelonaJoan Laporta, lamented the massive presence of Eintracht Frankfurt fans at the Camp Nou in the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinals (2-3), a situation that he described as “shameful”.

I regret what has happened and what I have felt is shame”, assured the maximum representative of the Barça entity in statements on Barça TV when asked about the situation that has been experienced in the stadium with the massive attendance of German fans.

The Camp Nou experienced an unusual situation with Eintracht supporters scattered around the stadium beyond the 5,000 seats that the club sent to the German team, following UEFA regulations that require them to give up 5% of the capacity to rival fans.

We have information about what happened. We have to process it and take action”, admitted Laporta, who indicated that the club will take “measures”. And he added: “As a Barcelona fan I feel hurt by what I’ve seen because there were a lot of fans from the other team”.

On the elimination in the Europa League, Laporta urged the players to “go through this bad drink” and pointed out: “This continues, that people come against Cádiz to cheer on the team”.
